Radiant Stage Review

Write for us

Radiant Stage Review welcomes considered pitches about rural live performance, including the people-free practical details of a venue, the choices involved in making a show and the customs that shape an audience's evening. We are looking for clear, original work with a useful point of view.

What we welcome

Pitch an explanatory piece, a comparison, a history or a focused account of a performance-making question. Strong subjects might examine how a room affects a staging choice, how a group can think through repertoire, or how an audience encounters a particular form of live work. Keep the subject distinct and rooted in a question readers can follow.

What to include

Send a short summary, a proposed title, the intended reader and the main idea the piece will leave with them. Tell us what makes the subject worth exploring and identify any sources or permissions the work would need. Do not send confidential material or present unverified claims as fact.

How to propose a piece

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include your pitch in the message. A proposal is not a promise of publication. Please do not send a complete manuscript unless it has been requested.

Our point of view

A stage can begin anywhere

Performance is shaped by its room, its company and the people who come to watch. We look at those particulars with care.
